Privacy Policy
Effective September 7, 2026. Version 2026-09-07.
1. Who is responsible
See My Week is operated by Strohl.ai (Dan Strohl), based in Canada. We are the organisation responsible for personal information collected through seemyweek.com. Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect
| Information | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email and password (stored as a one-way hash) | You, when you create an account | To run your account and reach you about the Service |
| Your family's name, time zone and family word | You, during setup | To create and protect your board |
| Names, roles and photos of the people on the board, including your child | You, during setup and afterwards | To show familiar faces on the board |
| Calendar events from calendars you connect or link | Google Calendar, Apple iCloud Calendar, school feeds or other links you provide | To build each week's board |
| House rules and routines, and requests you make through the board's helper | You | To lay out the board the way your family needs |
| Technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit | Your device, automatically | To keep the Service secure and working |
Some of this information is sensitive. A picture schedule for an autistic child, the names of therapists, and appointment titles can reveal health-related information. We treat everything you give us as confidential and apply the protections described below to all of it.
3. Children's information
The Service is used by parents and caregivers about their children. Children do not create accounts and we never collect information from a child directly. Parents choose what goes on the board. We use children's names and photos only to display the board to the family and the people the family shares it with, and for nothing else.
4. How we use information
- To build, host and display your board and to make the changes you ask for.
- To run your account and to contact you about the Service, including changes to these policies.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To bill you, through our payment provider.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.
Google Calendar data
When you connect Google Calendar we ask for two read-only permissions: to see the list of calendars you are subscribed to (calendar.calendarlist.readonly) and to view the events on them (calendar.events.readonly). We use them for one thing: to read the titles, dates and times of events on the calendars you tick, so we can build your child's weekly board. We never add, change or delete events. We store the sign-in token Google gives us so we can rebuild the board each week without asking you again; it is kept on Cloudflare with the rest of your account and is deleted when you disconnect Google, close your account, or when Google stops honouring it. A copy of the week's events is cached for ten minutes to make the board quick, then discarded. We do not share Google Calendar data with anyone, do not use it for advertising, and no person at See My Week reads it except to help you with a support request you have asked for. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google Calendar data is never used to train AI or machine-learning models.
5. The helper on the board
Some boards can include a helper you can type to. The helper is not yet switched on for See My Week boards. When it is, messages you send it, together with the current week's board (the pictures, and the event titles, dates and times behind them), are processed by Anthropic's Claude model through Anthropic's commercial API to understand the request and make the change. We call Anthropic directly, with no aggregator, gateway or model hub in between. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent to that API is not used to train Anthropic's models. Google Calendar data, and any other data from your connected calendars, is never used by us or by anyone we work with to train AI or machine-learning models. Helper requests may also be relayed to our team's phones so a person can step in when the helper cannot make the change; that relay carries the request text only.
6. Who we share information with
Only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts the website, the boards and stored data |
| Anthropic | Processes messages to the board's helper |
| Provides calendar access when you connect Google Calendar, and web fonts | |
| Apple | Provides calendar data when you link an iCloud calendar |
| Stripe or Wise | Payments |
| Telegram | Delivers helper requests to our team's phones (the request text only) |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a child or another person.
7. Where information is stored
Data is stored on Cloudflare's network, which keeps copies in several countries including the United States, and is processed by the providers above in the countries where they operate. We take steps to protect it wherever it is.
8. How we protect it
- Boards are private. They open only with your family word or a signed-in account that owns them.
- Passwords are stored as salted one-way hashes. Connections are encrypted.
- Access inside our team is limited to what is needed to build and support your board.
- If we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you within 72 hours of confirming it.
9. How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you close your account, or ask us to, we delete your content within 30 days. Backups clear within a further 30 days. We may keep billing records for as long as tax law requires.
10. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you and your family, to get a copy of it, to correct it, or to delete it. If you are in California you also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of sale, which we never do in any case. If you are in Canada you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
11. Cookies
We use one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember a few settings on your device. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email account holders and post the new version here before it takes effect.
